Guided tours begin at 9:30 a.m. every Saturday (May - Sept.) and 2nd & 4th Saturdays (Oct. - April)
Driving Directions:
One mile north of U.S. Highway 180 at Santa Clara, New Mexico. It is a 10-minute drive from Silver City and about an hour north of Interstate 10 at Deming.
Fort Bayard was home to the 9th Calvary Buffalo Soldiers and then 2nd Lt. John J. Pershing. The fort played a role in the search for Geronimo. A national cemetery is located at Fort Bayard.
