WNMU Lecture Series featuring Valerie Wilson Plame
Valerie Plame is a former operations officer of the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). As the subject of the 2003 CIA leak scandal, Plame had her identity as covert officer of the CIA leaked to the press by members of the George W. Bush administration and subsequently made public. Plame has written a memoir detailing her career and the events leading up to her resignation from the CIA. Valerie is the author of the New York Times best-selling memoir 'Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House.'
Along with Sarah Lovett, she has published the well received fictional spy thrillers Blowback and Burned. She lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with her husband, retired Ambassador Joe Wilson, and their two children.
