The Silver City Museum will offer a series of craft classes during the public schools’ spring break featuring a Victorian theme. Classes will be held 10 am – 12 noon Tuesday through Friday, March 14-17, 2017. Pending good weather, classes will be held outside in the Museum Courtyard. If the weather is rainy or very cold, the classes will be moved to our new education room inside the Museum at 312 West Broadway. Classes will cater to elementary ages and up. The class schedule will be as follows: March 14-17 Spring Break Activities • March 14- Quilting. Featuring the Southwest New Mexico Quilters Guild • March 15- Tea Dyeing Fabric • March 16- Victorian Toys: painting marbles & make a spinning top • March 17- Make a Silhouette For the Craft Class series, there will be a $5 fee per class, per person. Register in advance by calling (575) 538-5921 or email education@silvercitymuseum.org. Walk-ins will be welcome, space permitting. During each class from March 14-17, there will be a drawing to win an item from the Museum Store. As well as the opportunity to enter to win one of three $25 shopping sprees for the Museum Store.
