The Gila Native Plant Society continues its program of monthly field trips with a trip to Railroad Canyon off route 152 in the Black Range. The field trip will be a moderate hike at 7100 ft. elevation along Gallinas Creek. The trail crosses the creek several times over rocks and winds through riparian and mixed conifer forest habitat. All are welcome. Meet at 8 a.m. in the south parking lot of the WNMU Fine Arts Center Theatre for carpooling. The drive will take about 50 minutes each way on routes 180 and 152.
