The traditional Silver City Dia de los Muertos procession between community ofrendas will culminate in an honoring of our very own ofrenda here at the Museum, an alter for beloved local friend-to-all Johnny Banks. Mariachi singer Angelica Padilla will entertain guests as they partake of champurrado (Mexican hot chocolate), pan de muerte, and have their faces painted. As the sun begins to set, guests will settle in to watch Coco, a magical Disney/Pixar story of music, memory, and the land of the dead. Bring chairs, blankets, and whatever you need to keep comfortable on a crisp fall evening.
