Members of the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce and non-members are invited to attend our monthly lunch meeting. During the September meeting, United Way of Southwest New Mexico will speak briefly about their program of work in Silver City and then present the recipients of their 2017 United Way.
Our second speaker will be Rynni Henderson. Rynni Henderson is President of the Silver City Sun-News, the Las Cruces Sun-News, and the Deming Headlight, all part of the USA Today Network. She has been in this market for just under two years. With almost 25 years of media publishing and senior leadership experience, she has overseen publications in Florida, Louisiana, Oregon and New Mexico, including the Carlsbad Current-Argus. She is a native of New Orleans who enjoys cooking, wine tasting, travel, and hanging out with her two dogs and two cats. She has been married to Larry Henderson, owner of Henderson CPAs, for almost 25 years and has a daughter and granddaughter who reside in Florida. Rynni will discuss changes that have taken place at the Silver City Sun-News and changes in mass media to more electronic technology.
