Tour of the Gila gets new title sponsor
One of the biggest events in Grant County has a new title sponsor. Scott Nichols Toyota has stepped up and come home to the Tour of the Gila he helped establish. Scott Nichols was the original title sponsor beginning in 1987 helping the event to grow for the first seven years. ?This allowed the race to establish itself, under Scott Nichols?s sponsorship,? said Jack Brennan.
2008 Tour of the Gila Prize List
Awards for the 2008 Tour of the Gila will be presented on Sunday at the Pinos Altos Opera House just south of Sunday's finish line. Bonus Sprints can be picked up at Gila Hike and Bike daily. Saturday's Criterium primes can be picked up after your race behind the officials stand at the start finish area.

The Tour of the Gila is a 5 day (4 days for Sr. Men 4,5 and Women 3,4) stage race, consisting of 3 Road Races, an Individual Time Trial and a Criterium (2 road races, an Individual Time Trial and a Criterium for Sr. Men 4,5 and Women 3,4). The overall winner to be decided on basis of lowest overall time for all races.
