Black Tie at the Buffalo, "A Gilded Gala"

For one evening each year, the historic Buffalo Dance Hall is transformed into a portal of elegance for the event, and this year, its theme will be that of a Venetian Carnival. With masks, fabulous and formal attire, guests will celebrate the Mimbres Region Arts Council’s 30th Anniversary and the holiday season to the music of the rock/blues band from Phoenix, Ariz., the Jump Back Brothers. Join Silver City's yoga class at 12:45 pm each Thursday to enjoy the benefits of a gentle workout that exercises the body, mind and spirit. Lead by Colleen Stinar, the weekly yoga class builds flexibility and strength with a combination of breathing, physical posture and meditation techniques that devotees say can reduce stress, improve posture and coordination, and increase energy and balance.
