SUMMARY:New Mexico Chamber Executives Association Conference
DESCRIPTION:Chamber of Commerce Executives from across the State of New Mexico and possibly a few from Arizona will attend the New Mexico Chamber Executives Association Conference in Silver City\, New Mexico.\n\n\n\n\n\nSome of the highlights of the conference will be the guest speaker and facilitator - Cathi Hight - Hight Performance Group\, Inc.\; a tour of the Freeport-McMoRan copper & gold mine\; Western New Mexico University President Dr. Joe Shepard will discuss the General Obligation Bonds that will be on the November state-wide ballot\; Kurt Clough will give lead a motivational discussion about workforce\; and lots of discussion about the management of membership organizations such as a chamber of commerce.\n\n\n\nThe Conference will be held in the Grant County Veterans Memorial Business & Conference Center. If you book flights far enough in advance\, you can get flights for as low as $59 one-way.\n\n\n\nAll participants will have to attend a short safety class before touring the mine. You will not be allowed to wear open-toed footwear\, And we suggest absolutely no high heels. Plan to wear clothing that you don't mind getting little dusty.\n\n\n\nThe cost of the conference is $199. This will include lunch and supper on Wednesday - August 22\, breakfast\, lunch and supper on Thursday - August 23\, and breakfast on Friday - August 24.\n\n\n\nOur first activity will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday - August 22 and the conference will end at 11 a.m. on Friday - August 24.\n\n\n\nThe NMCEA Board of Directors will meet from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Friday - August 24.\n\n\n\nFor additional information\, call Scott Terry at (800) 548-9378 or send an email to sterry@silvercity.org.
