WNMU Remembrance March III
Western New Mexico University would like to invite you to the WNMU Remembrance March on October 21, 2023.
Enjoy a 1 Mile Honor March around the beautiful WNMU campus if unable to make the Boston Hill Trail. The start will begin at the Juan Chacon Parking Lot at WNMU. There will also be a presentation of plaques for Honored Veterans.
Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. and the march will start at 10:00 a.m.
There will be free food and drinks!
For more information, you can contact Sylvia Sierra at (575) 538-6871 or (575) 654- 5413 & Liz Lopez at (575) 574-2964 with the WNMU Veterans Affairs Office. The website will be up soon for registration but if you are wanting to register now, you can do so with Sylvia and Liz.
If you would a Veteran to be honored, please submit a picture as well as a picture of their Veteran's headstone. The reason for this is to ensure that the names are correct and the branch they are in, so the information is correct on their shirts, plaques, and advertisements.
October 6th is the last day to submit pictures and the names of the Veteran's they are honoring. After this day, they can submit that information again next year and they will put them up to be honored at that time.
