Celebrate Silver City, New Mexico's Territorial Charter Day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with a charter signing re-enactment at Silver City Museum with current and local officials in period costumes. Also planned at various locations are a 5K fun run, a historic tour, period actors and tours at Ft. Bayard, and mining activities. Volunteer and community service opportunities are available. 9 am – 4 p.m. - Tours at Historic Ft. Bayard and people in period dress
9 a.m. - Urban Challenge Run, sign up at the Visitor Center
11 a.m. - Children’s Run in the Big Ditch below 6th Street

1 p.m. - History of mining in Grant County, talk by Virginia McLemore, Senior Economic Geologist, New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, at the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce & Conference Center
2 p.m. - Re-enactment at the Silver City Museum Annex featuring current and former officials in period garb followed by traditional guitar performance by Danny Cordova and performance of New Mexico song by Kenn Kepler.
