Independence Day activities will be on Saturday, July 3. (Schedule of events at bottom of page.)
Come join in for the fun!
There will be booth spaces offering various types of food choices from burritos and gortitas, to hot dogs, corn on the cob, various types of BBQ and plenty of funnel cakes, sno-cones and smoothies. Vendors will be showcasing jewelry, cutlery, apparel, games, face painting and caricatures, along with several informational and non-profit booths.
Parades, fireworks and an old-time Ice Cream Social (at the Silver City Museum) are highlights during Silver City's annual Independence Day festivities.

Parade Silver City's July 4 Parade will take place on July 3. It features riders and groups celebrating Grant County's Western heritage: Many participants are mounted on horseback, adding to the Old West appeal of downtown Silver City. Great viewing spots are available almost everywhere downtown, with particularly good spots on the shady side of Bullard Street.
Ice Cream Social The Ice Cream Social is an old-fashioned community event held annually since 1984, featuring ice cream and cold beverages, musical entertainment, children's games, and the ever-popular cakewalk, held in the Silver City Museum's tree-shaded courtyard. Admission is free, with refreshments and game tickets sold.
The Museum will be open to visitors at no charge during the Ice Cream Social, and the Museum Store will also maintain the same hours. For more information, contact the Silver City Museum at (575) 538-5921 or info@silvercitymuseum.org
