The Silver City - Grant County Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations
for its Annual Leadership Awards to be presented at the 2006 Annual
Leadership Awards Luncheon on Wed., April 12, at the Copper Crest
Country Club.
Chamber is soliciting nominations for Citizen of the Year along
with Leadership Awards in the areas of education, small business,
community action, large business, tourism and arts.
The Citizen of the Year award is designed to honor a Grant County
individual who has, over a period of time, made a significant
contribution to the community. Nominees must have lived in Grant
County for at least eight years. Current Chamber of Commerce
Board Directors are not eligible.
Nominees for leadership awards must be residents of Grant County or
have a Grant County business license. The nominee must have
demonstrated excellence in one of the following categories:
performance, customer service, quality of product, community
involvement or commitment to employees. Neither nominees nor
sponsors are required to be members of the Chamber.
Self-nominations are also being accepted.
Nominations must be received at the Chamber office by 4 p.m. Wednesday,
